Performance which illustrates my rebirth as a woman through water associated with amniotic liquid, representing the "abject" (Kristeva, 1982).

I shared my birthday party with strangers, eating, singing and talking together. I developed this performance during an artist residency with the Théâtre du Mouvement (Movement Theatre). I disrupted my body language through formless body shapes to explore a new female body language.

I chose five from my audience. One by one I invited them to sit down at a table where cakes and beverages were set up. The other members of the audience sat/stood near where I was sitting with the five chosen ones.
